It's curtains for me! The Z is officially sold!!!

I am proper gutted - but it had to be done - Paul300ZX is buying the Z.

It has been an amazing 3 years. The Z has to be by far, the best car I have ever driven and owned. For the money, I don't think that you can buy a car with as much performance or presence. It has been a pleasure to own her.

She has only let me down 4 times in 3 years and they have been minor things.

Ceized caliper - which could happen to any car.

split fan belt - dito

perished oil cooler pipe - 12" piece of hose replace - job done.

Clutch friction plate - New part replaced thanks to Smithy/Zedworld

just remembered another one....he battery died on me last year on the way home from work. So Paul, there you go, Virtually new battery too.

Before Cos 1.2 came olong, I had plans to through a lot of money at her for respray, engine rebuild, turbo upgrade, different wheels...again! But I have to face reality and admit that my pocket at the moment is just not ready for such a torching. However, fast cars are in my blood and I will be back. I would love to own a Z again, but I don't know whether I would have the patients to be able to run a car as tempremental as a Z. Would definately consider sooped up NA. The stories I have heard have have been very positive but it would be a nice second car one day.

Well, Paul should be taking reciept of the beast in about 10 days so I hope he has as much enjoyment out of her as I have.

Good luck Paul and thanks to everyone for the help and guidance that you have provided. I have met some stonkin people on here and I hope to stay in contact.

I am hope to carry on providing the headlight mods(dependant on supplier quality), and the chromed balance bars and bonnet stays), provided that the mods are ok with it.

Good luck to everyone with their projects/Z's and I will try and stay around if I am still welcome.

Good Night Seattle

Believe it or not Roy - I nearly bought a Supra just before taking reciept of the Z. It was an import, RZ or ZR spec - Leather - very smooth with new ceramic turbs but £9.5k was a bit too rich for me at the time.

6 days to go :hyper:

thanks cos, i cant wait to get behind the wheel of a zed again

thanks

Paul

Cos, Good luck in what you do mate and hope to see you soon mate..:duffe: :D

Matt

Welcome Paul. :)

Its about time a Scottish meet was arranged, there are plenty from north of the border now.

thanks for the welcome guys :)

scottwil ive had 3 before and used to take them to crail every to weeks you might of seen them, i had a grey g plate non turbo 2+0 a black tt 2+2 import and a red 2+0 tt, i used to race colin dick from up your way everytime at crail lol

Was the grey non-turbo for sale around summer time last year? If so, i think i seen it in Crail with for sale signs on. Had a good look around it and was thinking of buying it. Decided not to because it was a non-turbo. hehe

Did you ever take the non turbo up the strip? What times were you getting if you did?

Ah well, ill no doubt see you at Crail some time then.

I'll still be hovering around. Am bleeding inside everytime I think of letting her go. Drove her home from work last night and parked her up probably for the last time. Don't want to go bumping her now - do we Paul! Will be using the wife's car for the rest of the week I think.

Managed to get a mate to hire me his dad's Shoggy so should be sorted for Saturday. Will probably be arriving around 6am'ish Paul to avoid the festival traffic.

Sorry to hear your zed is going Cos, make sure and stick around bud. And welcome to the new owner :)

Cheers Jock.

Cos I am gutted mate!

All I can say is you had better stick around and get another zed pronto!

I'll try mate but I will probably got for an NA next time.

yeah it would have been a guy from xs motorsport selling it as i sold it to them, the best time i got in the non turbo was 15.3

Hi Coz I'm gutted for ya. No doubt you'll see the improvement in the Visa statement, but life is for fun and you only live once. Are you still going to be doing the lights as I might be wanting to do them over the winter while my motor gets its Flug wide arse. (Fatter than the average mama)

Hi Paul hope you enjoy your Z and welcome to the internuts debating centre for the clinically insaine even if its a shame to loose another Zedder

Cheers Mark

Yes - I should still be doing the headlight chroming. Just need to catch up and OK it with MAC Daddy.
