Can anyone tell me what this is that has been cut on my car for some reason?

 

does your Hicas light come on by any chance ??? that is the coneector/cable that goes to the top of the power steering reservoir to the right of your hand

No dont get a Hicas Light, but it might be the buld does not work or something.

LOL no worries mate , quite a lot of garages etc remove this bulb as it's easier than fixing the problem :(

Aye, my first Z was like that - no bulb because the light was on.. Damned cheapass importer in my case :mac1:

 

The wire might not have been cut though btw - they get constantly twisted and untwisted when you take off the PAS reservoir cap, and eventually they just break (if you're unlucky)

Yes it is an auto. drives fine, steering/speedo ect all good. Did an auto box diag and got revolution sensor error. :(

NOPE, it is DEFO the power steering res cap wire, see pic below,

cool, get rev sensor checked out if its comin up with fault. cos mine was f'd too should feel a lot smoother when rectified....
