Also how do you get ride of the water stains on the seats that are caused by this problem??

Hmmmm, mine leaks and do you know what? I've replaced the rubbers etc and it still fookin leaks!!!

When it pisses down I get a drip every 10-20 seconds i guess near the top of the pillar where it joins the targa.

I just cant work it out. The only thing I can sumise is that the locking pins in the targa have somehow moved or worn making it not clamp down as tight as it needs to?

I got a spare set outside might compare em at some point!

Any ideas on how to cure leaky roofs from this place are welcome!

I smear a good glob of vasaline on the the the ends of the rubbers. This works a treat until we get the really hot weather then it honks it down the next day  I think it melts. I'd say it works 98 % of the time. Tonight being not one of those percentages :x:

LMAO   only i could fook up like that LOL ;)

Like steve-o says the locking pins simply hold the roofs in place, now if someone could figure a way that pulls the roof panel down as well i'm pretty sure that would help.

Autoglym vinyl and rubber spray on the rubbers stops the leaks, check the drain holes for blockages?

Always use a water based lubricant! (unless you want a gaggle of little 300zx'ers running around)

Sometimes it's the actual front pillar that is out of true slightly. This can happen if the car has had abump or just due to slight body flexing from driving hard with targas off. If that is the case then a good body shop will put it sraight in about 20 minutes.

Those Top rubbers that go round the Targa opening and down the front pillar are a scandless price wondered if anyone would organise a group buy. Who'd be up for some.

Mine doesnt leak, but everything else is fooked :D

I fixed my leak with a tube of that black rubbery stuff called Permaseal I think. You can get it from most car shops.

Check you pipes are clear and that the 'pool' where the water collects in is sealed all around with this stuff.

It makes a bit of a mess though, although I prefer it to stains on the seats, especially now I'm getting old
