Managed to change my heater matrix today with dash out etc, but I also heard from a company today that they reckon they can slide the heater matrix out from the passager side without taking the dash out. I cant see how the fook anyone can do that its tighter than a mouses earol! Has anyone on here done it this way?

I think it is possible, but only if you've done it the hard way first to know where all the screws are, plus you've left one or two of the more difficult ones out and it's an auto.

That would be the drivers side not the passenger side and it is easier and quicker than taking the dash.

JeffTT,

Either way looks like it cant be done. Have you taken one out of the drivers side then? im hoping not to do one again but if i had to i think id do it with the dash out.

Thanks

Yes have done a fair few that way now, auto is easier because no clutch pedal in the way, clutch and booster have to be removed on manuals but either way is definately a quicker way, having done several now does make it easier I can normally complete the whole job in 4 to 5 hours using this method, having said that took me a whole weekend the first time!!
