Hi all. Looks like my auto box maybe knackered. Anyone how much it would cost to replace? would also like to know a rough figure for a manual conversion if anyone knows?? It's an N/A import if that makes any difference. Cheers

recon would be around 1500 quid if you take it to a specialist, depending on availablility of parts. you could get a second hand one for 300 quid fitted for another 300 but not the most reliable option. Manual convertion would cost the same as a recon but its finding someone to take it on which is the problem.

What year is the car ? if its a 90 model get used to the gearbox going

Your looking at more like between £800 and a Grand to have it reconditioned although i did my own and its fine.

I have a manual box that needs a recon if manual is the way you want to go. I've gone through 3 autobox's in 12 months manual is the way.
