Ooh Bugger, thats One Idea Out The Window Then!

Have U Got The Manual,as U Might Be Able To Open The Door With The Key And Manually Disarm With The Plainveiw Switch-if U Got One Of Course[don't Know What Model Alarm U Got]hth ;)

Had a few probs with mine too...like it just made up its own valet code so I cant do a thing with it...still...at least I heard back from clifford UK who told me nothing they could do and take it to an authorised installer (good job I can start it then)

Sounds like your alarm has 'forgotten; your remote code...will need to get an expert installer on it to hack into the alarm ECU and re install the remote...good from a security point o view I guess!

At the worst they might have to send it off to Directelectronics (who bought clifford out ) to reset it at the cost of a new unit!)

sorry to be negative!!!

I never liked cliffords, so if it is fooked, it will get smashed into small pieces and sent to clifford with a note telling them exactley what I think of thier overpriced, commercialised, bolax!!!!

Mine went t*ts up after a flat battery. It then wouldnt work with the remote. I used the key but of course you drive your neighbours crazy. I tried the valet code tapped into the plain view valet switch only to set it of yet again and again. Then I cut the wire to the siren. It went off again but for 5 minutes this time then silence. With it now shut up siren wise I tried tapping in codes starting at all the ones until I found the emergency one that would open it. This allowed me to re register the remote to the car using the appropriate menu and its been fine ever since. Of course I re connected the siren.

Oh and you dont want to smash it to pieces till you know how to de merge it from your cars nervous system. The installer should have given a print out of where it is merged with the fuel pump circuits and where with the ignition. My print out is on the old style fax paper which fades in time and is almost white now. The wires used to connect are all black so its not easy to take one out unless you are an expert.

If its a recent install I would expect the installer to fix it for you.

I would never ever have another Clifford Alarm System they are utter B0110x I have had 2 of them on previous cars and have had nothing but trouble with them. When they play up continuously and you have had enough of it altogether and want to take it off the car altogether it will cost the same amount of £££ to get it removed from your car Professionally (Which it has to be) because of the way they install them into the cars critical nerve system as it would for a brand new system. Clifford -- Verdict -- CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP. Stick to a TOAD or a SIGMA way less £££ and way less HASSLE.

I found the "secret" emergency valet code for my Clifford. I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you. It was wonderful to tap it in and have the lights on the dash all spring into life.
