Just driving home from work today when I turn a semi-blind left bend after a bridge (60mph limit A road) at 45-ish to find a Land Rover stopped in the road - a marked clearway.....

 

Turns out someone had pulled out of a side road in the path of someone else, who either flashed or hooted to show annoyance, then the fekker who pulled out oh so cleverly slammed on his brakes in reply :xxx: (A t0sser in a Corsa). I then came round the corner a second later totally unaware these b@stards were having a road rage thingy and hit the Land Rover. :mad:

 

Luckily my brakes were good enough to slow me to less than 20mph and I could half steer round the Landy. Got away with cracked front bumper, broken left headlight & foglight and possibly the need for a new left front wing.

 

At least I'm OK and the Landy driver still blames the Corsa driver - but as the w@nker in the Corsa drove off I guess I have to take the blame :( (No damage to the Landy other than rear o/s light...)

 

And I'd just spent Saturday polishing it too........

Really sorry to hear this Rich, sounds identical damage to mine, you must be gutted :(

 

Second hand parts shouldnt cost too much, I think you'll find most of those bits in forum members garages right now, hopefully you can avoid insurance? How did you leave things with the Landie driver?

I used to have a landy Disco and a '02 Alpha romeo thumped into the back of me on a a roundabout, his headlight, bonnet, wing, bumper were mashed..... some paint had flaked off my bumper :o fekn road tanks they are

 

hehe Alpha driver was gutted that there was no damage to mine :D

Yeah, just a bit pissed off - Zed was looking good in the sun today.....

 

I suggested to the Landy driver that I may pay for his damage myself, but I still phoned my insurers when I got in. I will need a courtesy car to get to work whilst Zed is being fixed. I work 25 miles away and there is no public transport - the ZX is my everyday car. :(

 

Thanks everyone - as I said at least I'm OK and the Zed isn't too badly damaged.
