After the problems I've had, and having to miss going to Billing, I decided to treat myself (and my Z) to a new Momo Trek-R wheel to replace the rather shabby looking one that came with the car.

 

Looks absolutely fantastic and feels just as good when driving :)

nice :D i'm looking for a new steering wheel - where did you get yours? is your hicas now disabled or did you get a boss for it? If it is disabled do you notice the difference when driving?

When I got the car, it already had an aftermarket wheel on it so I just used the hub from that.

 

I bought it from a local store as the price there was actually cheaper than anywhere I'd found on the net once shipping had been added, plus I just wanted it now! ;)

Alright Alex, well it's mostly down to my birthday TBH. Lucie arranged a night out for us on Friday, unknown to me she invited as many of my friends as she could get hold of so as you can imagine that pretty much ruled out the Saturday as well! :duffer: John D and I toyed with the idea of going down today but thought things would be winding down by now so decided to give it a miss. For a static show I enjoyed it last year (though not sure I could take a whole weekend, I like my creature comforts too much! Lol! ;))

i got down there yesterday for the morning with my truck but it just isnt the same without the zed - really good turnout on the stand though - they're going to have to give us a bigger pitch next time

I love the wheel, may get one myself, silly question though, I love my cruise control is there any way of neatly fitting the buttons to an aftermarket wheel? anybody done it before?

Another bonus of the new wheel is now I can get in and out of the car without having to dance on the pedals so I can fit my leg under the wheel! :)

yeah i got the d shape wheel just for that purpose
