i think HKS motorsport is a selling point as it grabs some atention like if i had nismo suspension all of a sudden it would be a nissan 300zx nismo edition :p

it may just have a lot of HKS goodies on it. Im sure nissan and hks dident drink tea and design nissan hks 300zx

Just phone a few of the sellers, ask all the usual questions about its history, mileage, what documentation its still got etc, then go and check them out!

 

There are some very good buyers guides and check lists on http://www.300zx.org.uk, some of the checks arent really practical (jacking up the car etc..) but most are really good points to check (mostly common sense car buying stuff and a few 300 specifics)

 

make sure you see quite a few before making your mind up, Im sure everybody here will agree 300's arent the fastest selling cars in the world so you prob wont loose out by leaving a day or two's cooling off time! Once you've seen a handful you'll be able to spot a good one from a dog and make a slightly more informed decision!!

 

With the help of the FAQ's on the internet I managed to choose a good'un.

only 6 for sale in whole of scotland so will take my time about it as u say

have a scoob wrx to get rid of first

hopefully be sold this week then i can get a real head turner

do the coupes have rear seats, have kids ages 5 and 7

Most are 2+2, often called a LWB, the kids will be fine in the back. SWB cars have no rear seats and are rarer. SWB are always jap, and UK cars are always LWB. I've confused myself now ;)
