Just been reading an amusing thread over on 300club, so thought Id start one over here

 

basically, what was your reaction when you 1st drove a 'stage 3' or more Z?

 

I myself went from stock, to 15psi, Zcentre downs, intake and Drager cat back, and I cried with fear, 2nd time i punched it i cried with delight :)

 

Then went hunting lol :)

I belive was my reaction.

I think my reaction was.

lol, yeah well from tommorow I will have turbos too, TD Stage 2s whooo :)

Not as big a reaction as with these new T28's and only 8psi :o LOL

really?? punchy eh? how do Turbo Technics Stage 2s compare to T28s im wondering?

I'm not sure what they are exactly but I presume they are just uprated T25's.

It will be an improvement but you can't beat bigger snails :hyper:

Yep, have to agree there....till i looked at the fuel gauge! :cry:

Ah well, can't have it all!

I had a direct comparison on the first Z, cos it had an AVC-R fitted... he had it set up for .7 bar on A and 1 bar on B.

 

So booted it down a half-mile straight, thinking "mmmm, these cars are quite fast..."

 

And then switched over to B and booted it back down the same straight thinking "Chrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeist!"

 

The missus went for the understated approach - first time I took her for a spin in it she got out afterwards and said "you know, I quite like that car".

 

What really sticks out in my mind is the first time I went to the top of 4th on the motorway - when you put your foot down at a ton and it STILL kicks you in the back you realise how much grunt there is! Anything else seems slow on the mway... but then the Z is a right old barge on the moors.

 

Your car is going to FLY, no question. Even Phil commented it was quite fierce once the lag sorted itself out!
