Does anybody know if i can replace the o2 connectors

with spade connectors, or similar?

Having loads of grief from the connectors, runs fine

one day, then codes 33/53 the next

Has been given the ok on a conzult, then the connectors

play up again, once they're cleaned up they're fine

for a while.

Any suggestions?

Strange that you should ask today as I just had mine done earlier at a garage. It was a bugger to do the near side. I think this is the more difficult one.

The mechanic, after some head scratching, decided to blow torch the spanner and formed two bends to it- very clever. He also had to cut the wire to run the spanner to the sensor ofcourse. This allowed him to get better leverage etc but still took some time to undo.

I hope the above info is of help to you.

Good luck

Thanks for your help van, it seems you're talking

about the o2 sensors themselves?

I'm asking about the connectors that are visible under

the bonnet, was wondering whether there was any sort of

resistor etc inside them? If not, should be ok to cut them off

and re-join the wires?

Oooops sorry mate. I often confuse myself.

I've taken a connector apart to investigate previously and found that there are no resistors inside so you can connect them anyway you like.
