Anyone here play Eve online.

 

I just started a 14 day free trial (with free downloadof the game itself) as friends at work were raving about it.

Fooking superb real time game. :hyper:

 

Bit of a :confused: to start with but once you get into it's pretty amazing :bow:.

I'm on there now. Name is Tethis. Can't seem to get to my ship at the moment though. It got hung as it was docking. This was after the ship jumped and the camera did not. This was after getting blackholed for an hour. Can't petition either as all I'm getting again is a black screen. This is addictive. I could do with a mill tooley. I'll contact ya.

r u in need of some named small rail guns or electron blasters thats one of my sidelines can provide some very tasty carbide rails or even better proto gauss guns............its had some lag probs the last few days but it sometimes does when you get around the 9k player mark at weekends

 

 

Sounds very interesting mate, I got a Merlin now but still training in the skills to fly it. My condor has with 2 x 125mm rail guns, using iron ammo, I'm also using a stage 1 shield booster and a magnetic field stabaliser.

 

What do you reccomend I should fit to it ?.

tack if ever you get blackscreened again usual quick fix for me is to clear ure eve cache folder of everything but the settings and prefs.ini folder...its a good bet to clear it once a week anyway if you are spending a lot of time on eve as eve eats up memory more than any other game i know

until you get more skill smw thats not a bad setup ive got some nice 125mm and 150mm carbides for you though they use less cpu/powergrid for more damage and rof and depending on what range ure orbiting at id drop the for antimatter.........if you make ure way over to houla in the bleaklands i can let you have plenty of small ammo and the guns as i only recycle them anyway which doesnt give you much so you may as well put them to good use....its 0.4 sec but in a condor you wont have any trouble reaching gate or station before being targeted....you might wanna fit a small converse or c5-l shield instead of the booster as ure skills at moment means the booster will drain ure cap real quick

think of a crow or rifter in eve as a 300zx you can mod it plenty for insane speed but it will be real heavy on juice.......

yes it is.......try bobbing into tescos and get the cd key on the front of pc gamer each disc has its own but if memory serves thats only a 3 day which is no where near long enough to even get a feel for the game

is this a load of shit or what???? maybe its my crappy pc, when trying to chose your character i cant see shit as its all black, changing the background to a lighter one i get to see a sillouhette of the bloke im trying to pick but its still black.

 

Also it runs very slow.. any ideas or is it my shit pc with shit graphics card, although i have just downloaded new drivers for it but its still as poo.

First of all how sh*t is your PC?. What are the specs?.

800mhz 128 ram, nvidia tnt graphics card

Also when logging in again and selecting my created character is says trying to connect to something or other then bombs out after a while and throws me back to my desktop

Odd mate, PC's should be ok I think, just put the details on low, dunno what the requirements are tho?

 

If you've updated your drivers mate not a lot else you can do other than look on the FAQ on this eve site for issues with certain cards etc.

Sure matey, i'll be on from about 6ish so I may see you on tonight, nights always on and stu is pretty much most the time. I would say to start off, mine some scordite, then take it to a station refine it and uick sell for a little bit.

 

Later on its good to see if you can get someone who can haul large amounts and get them to loan you a can and haul it when its full for a small fee. Tht was you can mine like 200k continuously and it saves timw going back and forth loads.

if you guys want to do a bit of a mining op i can trundle up there with an apoc to cap or mine for you and also bring along my it5 fitted with partial hull expanders and 5 huge secure cans. been a while since i mined so it will be a laugh depending on what sec zone ure mining in

To be honest mate, I personally think its not a patch on Elite but it is more up to date. I bet it is good going round in a group killing pirates and such, but the fighting on Elite is a lot better, and has more user intervention and not just click on the target ship and click which lazer you want to use.
