Cerina was driving back from the airport this morning. Gave it a little off the lights (well she was trying to race a 600 bandit) good girl

Changed to 2nd no probs. Foot down on clutch for 3rd and cruch it's not going in foot off pedal but pedal doesn't come back .

Pulled over. Engine off. Lifted the clutch up by hand, pressed down but no pressure what so ever. Car would not go in gear.

Opened the bonnet and checked for loss of fluid. Couldn't see any loss.

Clutch Pivot Ball ?, Slave or Master Cylinder ?

What's the procedure, what do I need to check to eliminate any of the above ?

could be wrong, but not sure the NA has a slave cylinder

Yes it does.

Sounds like it might be the CPB :(

sounds similar to what happened to me when the spring went walkabout on the friction plate. Hope its not a bitch of a job for ya mate!

It'll have a slave cylinder but not a servo - so that simplifies things slightly. Try bleeding it to see what happens, if no fluid is getting through then think master cylinder first. A repair kit should probably do the trick.

I told you I could be wrong:(, new there was something it didnt have

Thanks guys,

Ok well I'll check for leaks tomorrow night.

I'll then bleed the clutch and see if I can flow the fluid.

If that's ok what's next ?

or is it going to be physically dropping the box and checking the clutch ?

Well if it was the pivot ball which broke u should be able to tell looking at the lever, probably would have no pressure on it. Possibly the same for the actual spring assembly too.

Get someone to press the clutch pedal while u stick your head under the car..Is the slave moving much? If it isnt it will be a leak somewhere in the system. If it is moving fine, i'm afraid the box will have to come off.

NO!!! Don't press the pedal if the pivot ball has broken! Although it's probably too late now, the piston will come out of the slave cylinder and fluid will go everywhere lol
