She's got motor neuron disease - am sure thats a good enough reason....

HORRIBLE DISEASE!!!! My Nan died of it a few years ago, it was truly horrific! Probably one of the worst diseases I can think of! Everything just shuts down and stops working, and you're left trapped (fully aware) inside a non functioning shell. :( :(

Ok, I'm too depressed now, lets start slagging off SUPRAS!!!

I just wondered why there was more information about their cars being broken into.

Its sad, but there are sad things happening every day. Infortunatly its called life.

**** me that comes across as a bit harsh Stu... The first link was a kind of headline page, with more on the link that followed...

Thoughts are with her mate.

Having lost someone, so close to me you wouldn't beleive it, to a disese that you can do absolutley nothing about, at the time, then I can fully appreciate how they could be feeling. I hope everything turns out OK for them both.

Ahh not nice. Not nice at all. Nice to know that the surfing comunity has a heart though.

F'kin hell mate - keep up. Its a surfing website, a site dedicated to my local spot and that was a feature on it.

Yes there are sad things happening every day but at this particular moment I am highlighting this sad thing. This poor woman's partner has asked for people positive thoughts, thats all. Not money or your sympathy. He believes enough people's thoughts might, just might, bring a miracle. I'm asking for your thoughts to help a little. Doing my bit you know, HELPING.

It should feature in that thing you called "life". If your thoughts are too precious to give away, then don't bother mate.

But yeah, a bit depressing so sorry about that, but don't be, sympathy not needed, just a positive thought, thanks.

Back to slagging off Supra's.

Look forward to her wooping james ass in a multitude of sports again in the future :D

Nice thought, but it's one of the tragedies of the disease. There is no cure, and you don't get any better, just slowly but surely deteriorate. Fine control over limbs is one of the first things to go, followed by numbness, followed by an inability to swallow, then you can't speak, can't feed yourself and it just gets worse

Anyway, what kind of a shirt lifting poofy boy would want a SUPRA? :)

You obviously did not read the page,

"The therapist we are working with for the past 7 months is very confident of a good recovery for Justine. The problem is Justine believing in it herself. Justine has been scarred with the words ''NO CURE'"

BE POSITIVE!!

I hope she is able to get some if not all mobility back. All the best to them.

Kind regards

Cos

do u know her James ? r u a surfer ? I think Stuart's point was that there must be many thousands in the same boat or with similar conditions.

Yeah so lets give up on them all....

Miracles do happen. Many times have I heard of cases where people recover from things which were initially deemed as unrecoverable.....

My thoughts and prayers are there...

Yeah so lets give up on them all....

don't be cheeky :smw: ! :nono:

It doesnt matter how many people out there are suffering, if we cannot take the time to think about one of them then we may as well forget them all.

Mike, very well said.

Nelson, yeah, I attempt to surf whenever I can. Justine is from my local spot.

I can see Stuart thought I had just plucked that from the air but it is personal to me.

Thanks everyone.

All the best to her and her hubby/partner, they sound like a great couple.

Rich

Sorry to hear about this, sorry that Stu is made up of straw! Aunt Sally, where is me sympathetic head! PMSL

Life is cruel sometimes,i count myself lucky, and my family in that we have no major illness, sometimes its good to realise that most of us on here are not suffering, its hard for famlies/friends/etc to cope too sometimes, had some very sad news concerning a young lad,13yrs old called Ashly,a friend of my son at school, was in same class,he has been suffering with lukemia for some time, terrible illness, not so long ago he was well enough to go back to school, but only for short time,my son came home on tuesday and told me his friend had died the previous night, very upsetting  what he must of gone through we cannot come close to realising, makes us realise how lucky we are, even if we have nothing but are well, we should be gratefull.Life is very cruel for some. :(

Tony

I'll echo that Tony.....

But

Is their is life after zeath.....:D Terrible I know, just throwing a little humour in!! :)
