Last August i took out an insurance policy for the zed with all mods declared. At the time i mentioned i might add further modifications to the car. They said this wanst a problem and just let them have a letter when they were done for their files.

 

In February when the car went into the garage i phoned them vith a view to cancelling but they told me that financially it wouldnt be worth it so i left the policy to run.

 

Two days ago i fax them with the new modification list and they canel my policy with 7 days notice and no refund. WTF :confused: :mad:

 

so my advice - steer well clear no norton (thieving *******s) insurance

Make a complaint to http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/ and see what happens.

have u got any of it in writing bud? complain to th ombudsman

Apparently they are going to write to me recorded delivery to cancel my insurance and being a classic car policy once you've taken it out you cant get your money back even if you cancel it 1 week later :mad:

 

i havent checked the small print of my policy but i bet they would have and i bet it's all legal. Doesnt stop them being thieving *******s though

Thats a discrace IMHO,staying with insurance a member on here pays by instalments and they told him he cant cancel his policy as it is a finance deal WTF? So even if he sold the car he still has to pay them for insurance?

I had the same issues with my classic policy when I sold my 260Z and bought my 300. The policy was only 3 months old as well.

 

So seems to be the norm amongst insurances robbers, sorry, meant companies!
