ok so this is the most annoying thing in the world and has a mind of its own. So how do you get rid of it? Also do speedo convertor chips do it?

Jap spec speed chime is a pain and speed convertors or fitting a UK dashboard does stop it,also you can disconnect it behind the dash board if u want. Jeff TT

Yes you can cut the wire for the chime only and leave the lights on chime in place (and reverse warning bleep)

The unit sits behind the speedo, remove the top cowl (two screws underneath) small black unit at rear on bracket.Someone else will need to post the wire colour but that abot it.My advise though is if u can find one is a UK dashboard (£100 average)but can intermittently(?)be hard to find

Don't know what yer wining about Mr. McVicar...LMFAO! When I get my Z back I'm gonna make some special mods that will include Wind Chimes on both A-pillars when the T-bars are opened up and a set of J.R. Ewing LARGE Texas cow horns...and seal pup pelt interior...yeeaaahhhh babbbbyyyy!

 

I want your chime - at least that way I won't lose my license

Didn't notice any chimes on mine when driving only when starting up engine - nice tune. Mind you I wasn't really speeding only doing 110mph!!!!!!
