Just had a 'remote start' alarm fitted to my Z, well impressed and chuffed with the setup.......

 

Paid £30 extra for full closure window 'lifters' to be added (i.e. closes the windows when alarm is armed)

 

I paid £250 for the full system, dropped it off this morning and picked it up at 4pm. :D

 

The place is called Motorguard and it's located in Birmingham, if anyone wants the details let me know and I'll pass them on. They also do re-trims and ICE installs too.....got some plans for the rear of my Z now too!! LOL

Yes fella, that was all in.........very helpfull people too!! ;) It is a CAT1 set up but the insurance don't like the 'remote start' option...

 

....even though the car is still fully locked and alarmed until you unarm it and even then if you don't put in the key and turn it to the start position the engine will die if you touch the gas!!

 

I love it........I should stop starting the engine from in the house when people walk past though........LOL (you can stop the engine too!! ;) )

I dont think id tell them about the remote start wouldnt be worth it, just say yes..i take it you get the certificate but it doesnt mention remote start?

I had an alarm fitted by them 4 years ago now on my Z. I got such good service from them I reccomended our works Toyota pickup have an alarm fitted by them too.

 

So we did. One day when we had problems with it, (rain water got into it), Raf stayed with me on the phone, talked me through the whole process of fixing it.

 

Absoulute diamond. Cannot reccomend them enough.

 

They used to be by the Royal Mail building, but I think they have moved now Matty??

he will travel to you anywhere in the country, dont expect to ring today and he'll be there tomorrow though,

the remote start alarm i had fitted, also had window closure, panic alarm, turbo timer, frost start (ie car starts if temp drops below zero if set)

pager/meter timer and loads more

What make & model alarm was that and how much was it?

mine was the aviatal 4400 m8, at the time it was £400 but had all kinds of extras fitted, so deffo not that for the alarm and remote start,

he also fitted a laser diffuser a month or so ago, and sorted me sat nav, so deffo knows his stuff, not to say he's better than other alarm fitters, but always been spot on here, and personally i wouldnt use anyone else,:)
