I was there too, on both days, a great weekend  Best bit was standing in the Barn behind the jetcar - fooking hell! One second hot air, the next instant fog with no visibility! :D

Had a look at the Supra, he was lucky there wasnt more damage. The bumper was knackered and his bonnet wouldn't click down. The crash was strange - he almost came to a standstill well clear of the wall but somehow carried on and bounced off it  Might have a look over on mkivsupra.net...

Got no pics as I forgot my camera but a great selection by TC

Cheers

Just to add,now i am not a lover of Mercs, but at Japshow sat there was a CLK V12 with twin something or other(cant remember at mo)new car,no mods, did the 1/4 in 11.5 or near abouts,it pissed it,had a chat with the owner, turned out to be a nice bloke and was well up for it,he had never done it before, and had after 3 runs got the bug for it,was only allowed 3 runs and was getting quicker and quicker!this made me think, why spend £100,000 on making a skyline run low tens, when all you have to do is get one of these Mercs, tune it a tad, suitable tyres, then run low tens too  ,you just had to be there to see it,seemed slow from the line then after 300ft it was realy flying, creamed it,so impressed :)

Tony

Saw a Z stuff a scooby.....which was nice!

That was me. :) Very funny because afterwards I went over to the Scooby driver for a chat he just whined about how his car wasn't boosting as much as it usually did.

Anyway, I did it in 13.8sec.

Jon

Always good to see a Scooby get chewed up by a Z.

Found a post by the guy who boshed his Soop:

"come off the lights on the strip lost a bit of traction not too bad off a start started accerating through 2nd gear the arse started twiching in the process of corecting it when the arse just spun away and was heading side ways to a wall managed to strighten up and hit the wall head on.

i think i picked up some water in the wheels and being new and cold tyes with traction control off just would not grip gutted but iam still here and hopfully the bill will be under £2000"

I was there on Sat, forgot driving licence and gearbox playing up syncro etc. could have done with some more z's, who was the guy that had no air filters on, bit doggy m8

Was all these pics taken on the saturday mate? I was there on Sunday and didn't see any of the Zed's pictured?

Ivan

Yes Ivan,i only went saturday.

  No Air Filters, I saw an Asian guy at Japfest with an 800BHP R33 Skyline with no air filters hence just having the MAFS exposed when I asked him where his Air Filters were he just sneered at me "I Don't need them the mesh on the end of the MAF will keep out any crap" I replied to him how much did your Turbos cost you he replied "£6,500" so I replied to him "I suggest you spend £250 on a pair of filters before he gets any small bits of grit or Crud in to his turbos that will S*AG them up. He was obviously Showing Off in front of his Posse of mates and was still taking no notice of my advice, I even suggested stretching a piece of womens tights over the MAF mesh and elastic band or cable ties to hold it in place to prevent bugs splattering into Tubbies with no joy. I presumed from there on in the idiot knew nothing about cars and had lots of money to Burn DICKH**D :slap:

 Oh and even funnier the guy was trying to sell his car for £30K. Would you buy a car that had been raced and driven on the road with no airfilters. PMSL or what.
