I am coming up for a new contract in a couple of months and wondered if you guys had any recommendations!

I have an xda 1 and I think this is fab, but I am aware there are a few more modern pda phones out there and wondered what you guys recommend?

Blackberry

I thought that was even more prehistoric than the xda1?

I thought that was even more prehistoric than the xda1?

only a few months old , the mrs has one and receives all her work e-mails whilst out and about also uses the net with the bloody thing , me I can't stand it but she likes it

Just stick to the xda1, as the 1st mobile phone virus is out in the wild.

until there is some mobile Antivirus anyway..

Sony Ericsson P900

Which I think may also be susceptible to the new virus !

Mate of mine has just bought an XDA2 and loves it.

Also, http://www.scancom.co.uk are doing Orange GPRS cards for £15 per month at the mo, normal price is about £40

Can anyone tell me if 3 the network, simcards can be used on other networks phones if they are unlocked?

Also what is GPRS :o

from what i hear 3 network has lots of signal issues!

Any more thoughts on this ? i've just cancelled my phone to go for a PDA type. Must be able to recieve email etc been looking at the Handspring Treo 600

Any thoughts ?

Also what is GPRS :o

GPRS is General Packet Radio Service (I think) which means, at the moment, approx 56Kbit connection whilst on the move. A mobile phone using a single channel would only get 9.6kbit, so it's handy for collecting email, browsing the web etc.

XDA II is the best at the moment.

Thinking of selling my IPAQ 5550 to get one if anybody is interested.
