LOL if it comes in we may aswell sell our Z's! but no-one will wanna buy 'em!

The static receivers/readers will be every where capturing your speed at any time.

The only hope would be disconnecting it, which would probably carry a ban.

Yep it will be justified on those grounds by the government, but you can rest assured it will also be used for speeding. They would probably lower the penalty points to 1 for minor speeding offences, at the same time. ££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££!!!

......surely this will fall in to invasion of privacy issues!

I'm sure there will be a way of 'breaking' the sensor - a big magnetic filed to naff its electronics up.......Or get your number plates from another country where they dont have the chips in them

Just reading the comments bit at the bottom...this one seems apt:

Good old UK. Over crowded, over priced and over governed. The UK's persuit of control over the average man is stunning. No funds for basic services, unlimited funds for technology that can increase government control over it's people. Big Brother just keeps getting bigger, while the populace just rolls over and has its tummy tickled yet again

if the goverment brought this I'm sure they would be booted out. :xxx:

Just another instance of the bigbrother effect. Its everywhere- tesco clubcards monitoring what you buy, spyware monitoring where you surf, cameras on every corner, are they tapping my phone? God I'm going paranoid

oh and I forgot moan about the million or so pounds of taxpayers money this is costing, when it could be better spent teaching my kids or helping the NHS.

Then of course at the end of it they'll be coining in loads of extra cash NOT to spend on teaching and NHS. :xxx:
