You'll be more than safe running 1 bar... and frankly more than 1 bar on the public road and you'll kill yerself! (You could always use the B-map for Santa Pod and so on...)

Setting the AVC up is a nightmare - self-learning mode doesn't work properly on twin turbos like ours so you have to set up the duty cycles yourself.

Basically, you guess a duty cycle that's going to give you the boost you want - you blat it up to a ton and back - and then you have a look at your peak and troughs and diddle things accordingly. If you find you've got boost wobble or mega spikes turn the feedback speed down a bit. From memory 68% or so gave me 1 bar, but I think I had vac leaks now I know more about it. (That car is long gone!)

You can also set up the boost per gear or per rev increment - which is good because I found 1st gear at 1bar just span the wheels once you hit torque no matter how careful you were with the throttle. I had the A settings for town so boost was mild until about 4000 revs - so I'd never get caught out on roundabouts or what have you - it wouldn't take off unless I really meant it.

B I had pretty flat. :D

I'd book yourself into Thor or similar and get the pros to do it. (I'll be doing that when I get a controller onto mine...)

Did you turn up at a meet at exeter services last sunday ? Think i saw your their - in a red Zed.

I was up their with the ultimate jap car club - or am i totally wrong

I would be tempted to go Thor or simialar to measure your Air/Fuel curve as the injectors start to struggle above 1bar with stock turbo's. If your tubs are much bigger there will be a lot more air at 1 bar so you could run lean at 1bar...

has any one else got any input on the set=up please

just trying to get a few opinions!!!!

for reference, I'm using 47% duty to hit 1 bar. (when i first set it up i used 62% duty to hit 1 bar, but I've since a few things and tidied the vacuum hoses up)

I've also turned the boost down for 1st gear approx 12 psi to avoid losing traction, and turned it down a little for fifth as it was overshooting a bit due to the extra load.

has any one else got any input on the set=up please

just trying to get a few opinions!!!!

the injectors are going to be the bottleneck in your setup, get bigger injectors!!
