I wonder when will Plextor bring theirs out then, no more need for DVD-X-Copy Platinum. :D

media is out in japan now approx $15 but first ones are going to be +r's or ram

so not worth touching yet, end of the year will see a big rush of stuff produced, verb' are VERY soon to be releasing dual-layer media;)

even more interesting and better to wait and see, is that pioneer have demonstrated dual-layer burning using the pioneer ao6, all with a firmware upgrade, whether they release it or decide to make it new hardware only is deffo going to be down to how much ££££ they can make

yeah, they reckon many 8x DVD burners could potentially be flashed to dual layer burners. 50p says not many manufacturers do tho :rolleyes:

the NEC 2500a, will apparently flash to dual layer.

 

I have a HP 8x dual layer jobbie ordered thru my work :)
