Well,

The guy that I bought my S13 from has offered to buy it back from me.

I like the S13 but I would like to consider my options!

The car I am looking for has:

Got to be sporty looking

Got to be fast

Got to be reasonable on fuel

Got to have an attempt at having four seats.

Got to be insurable under a classic policy, i.e. over ten years old!

Would like a hatchback when I have to cram potential serial murder vicitms into the back

I like the S13 and in reality it gave me all of the above, do you think there are many other cars that would do this?

A tea coosie has crossed my mind but it can be very thirsty, a mate of mine does a pound a mile in fuel in his!

How does an Omega fill any criterea, apart from mini cabbing

I know I am gonna get slated for this, but the proton gti has always looked good to me

VW Golf VR6/Gti

Cossie

Saab 900 turbo (93 or whatever there called now)

S14

Skyline GTS

Fiat Coupe Turbo

Audi Coupe/A4

306 GTi-6

I'd say go for the S13 though, cracking looks, good performance and it's a Nissan!!!

VW Golf VR6/Gti yeah crossed my mind, even the corrado vr6, but HHugly

Cossie fuel consumption??

Saab 900 turbo (93 or whatever there called now) don't know a lot of their tuning potential

S14 not a great shape

Skyline GTS bit overpriced for 4k

Fiat Coupe Turbo yuk

Audi Coupe nice but slow

306 GTi-6 don't know a lot but aren't they a bit slow?

the saab 900 turbo after reading and watching the write up on one suggests reliability is good but the turbos lag like fook and dont kick in til about 4-5k rpm by then mr nova has left you in his mirror.

A golf vr6 is pretty quick, its a hatch and there reliable and ok on fuel id personally have a pulsar gti-r 4wd and i think there about 210bhp standard with loads of low down power :) and good fun bit ugly imo though

celica gt-four 205

mazda 323f v6

pulsar

Got to be insurable under a classic policy, i.e. over ten years old(not sure on this)

steve

did you see the 380bhp S14a (not as ugly as the S14) in the for SXOC for sale section?

It's not a car I know TBH and a bit of the spec looks inconsistant but it's probably worth a look.

Hi Jez,

Don't they have a problem with not being able to chip the S14A, and never heard of that turbo before?

Paul,

You look like a child of the 70's, wasn't the capri in bodie and doyle :D

yes!!

actually, i could just see you in one!! shut it you slaaaaaaaag!! :x:

No, I'm pretty sure the turbo is a balls up, it looks like a T3/4 derivative to me.

At T6 would be huge, the only reference I found to it was for a 6.2litre engine.

The Bently turbo only used to use a single T4, they ar now running 2 T3's.

That said the name of the garretts can be very misleading, The T3 ranges from 150bhp (Metro Turbo) to around 700 for a T3/4.

Jez can't chip the S14a yet but is trying to suss it (NATS checksum issues I believe), however you can fit an emanage, this one already has a SAFC anyway and is mapped for 550's and Z32 AFM.

Hmm, for me it would have to be a pulsar Gti-R, or maybe a Fiat coupé turbo.

The 3.0S Capri was, the 2.8i was waaaay too advanced to appear in "The Professionals" - Fuel Injection? WTF - a pair of Weber 40DCOE's was good enough in those days

3.0 omega!!!

LMFAO :)

I looked at a load of Elite's and you can stuff yer Beamers and Kirks, these cars are f\/ckin' ace!

Leccy blind in the back window, seperate a/c for the driver and passenger...leccy everything and sporty mode on the Auto box if that's what you want!

Heated rear seats, leather, and the ride is so smooth, my Bro bought one for his Mrs. on a CD-X and it has the same as the Elite apart from the leather and digi A/C...and he paid...1500 squids for it on an M plate and man it's the b0110x!

If I hadn't bought the Mister Two would've defo bought one of these, only other car in it's class would probably be a Saab 9000! :)

Ohhhh man, if I had a squid for everytime my old man ranted on about the 3.0S? LOL :)

Then I bought an A plate 2.8i with all the kit on it...then stacked it into the back of some tripper on the A5! ROFL :)

Loved that motor, have had about 3 or 4 Capri's. But take into account that there was an Aston Martin conversion...the Tickford and that was a MO FO to be reckoned with! Worth some green now I should think. ;)

Tickford Capri...Click here if you really wanna...LOL

DCOE's were sidedraughts, the 3.0l lump would need down draughts.

how we laughed when we fitted a 40DCOE to my mates mini. the intakes came through the bulkhead into the car. start up from cold in the morning, the thing would backfire & burn all your hairs of your hand on the gearknob! :D

There's a tickford Capri at interpro at the minute.

Looks damned evil. :)

old Honda Prelude

LOL...ohhh really?

My 900 T16S was an absolute animal...even at 185,000 miles on the original turbo! ;)

Don't rule out Saab bearing in mind that they pioneered turbo charging on production cars so they are the Daddy when it comes down to reliable turbo charging.

LPT (light pressure turbo) cars can lack in performance but you get a full blown MO FO...like the 9000 Aero or push the boat out and try to get yer hands on a Viggen and you will truly experience being a fighter pilot! ROFLMFAO :)

My Bro has a chipped 9-5 and it goes like stink, all the toys aswell. Trent Saab tune them, Abbott Racing do some interesting elbeit expensive tuning bits for all things ABBA. ;)

Next door's 9000 CSE was a total stealth fighter...

BTW Timmy, enjoy:

Fiat Coupe

Might be on the ugly side but I bet if your drive one thats been Mapped and boosted you'll look at it completey differently. They handle brill and are the best front wheel drive car I've ever driven for getting the power down. The Lusso has class interior with full leather seats 2 Adults comfortabley in the back and even the boot is quite big.

Try one before you discount it.
