I must say the 840 and 850 BMWs look pretty sweet and you can get one for OK money.

What do you reckon? Are they any good?

I love 'em mate, was seriously thinking about getting shot of the Z for one! However, running costs are off the scale when things go wrong...LMFAO...well not much different to owning a Z and having summat go west then? LOL :)

850CSi is the mother to go for, M Tech lump. Oh you dirty Bavarian b@stards... :)

Yep - very very very nice. Wouldn't mind one myself. Saw an 850 Alpina up London once - was pulled by the cops! LOL!!!

They are nice.

Heavy and not that much power but are deffo very nice cars.

Shit, just did some looking up, they are horrendously heavy. 1925 or 1960 Kg.

There are 2 850 lumps, one is 300bhp, the other 380bhp.

Most definately all show and no go.

Very nice looking car, especially being a BMW. 840ci spec: 4 litre v8, 286hp at 5800rpm, 295ft/lb torque. Weight 1780kg. Top speed 156mph, 0-60 6.9 sec.

There is also a 5.6 litre v12 version with 380hp, would imagine that is closer to 2 ton though.

850csi was nearly the one for me, but ya gotta have 10K ready for a goodun.

Sat inside one- was like heaven- the salesman and my wife couldnt get me out. I settled for the QX in the end- good car also, but very annonymous.

But now the Z, theres no other car for me now (apart from a mini for work use when the petrol prices go through the roof)
