Welcome mate:) As someone who has owned an NA and a TT, stick with the NA:) Its not as fast, but its just as much fiun to drive, just as eye catching and a LOT less fragile :)

Cool

I bought my N/A recently and I'm always thinking 'should I have got a turbo'?

I think the N/A's more reliable as it's got no turbos but also as the engine bay stays cooler which prevents wiring becoming brittle which causes problems. And the N/As lighter so handles better.

Hi all. HAd it on the ramp today and it was all basically fine. I actually believe the thing has done 40000m . Of course no proof. Anyway there was no rust at all, not a sausage, and even the exhausts appear to be the originals from Japan, and in good nick. I have replaced the front pads (16.90 QH), oil and filter (£30), Stripped and cleaned the backs but they were fine. The shock absorber rubber gaitors were totally disintegrated but Mr Mechanic saidd that all Nissans do that. I had to change the battery (£40) as it was the wrong size, and the plugs looked great so I left them. The cam belt looked good and MR M said that the motors aren't the exploding type anyway. So I'll get that done next time at 46000m.

I also replaced the original steering wheel, complete with cruise control, so I've got a new after market one to get rid of. It only has 2 contact button though.

And the air filters were totally black and grubby. (£12 for both)

So all in all, it seems fine.

Faults

Some oil weep from the junction of the box, seems like ATF???????

I'll do something about it if it gets worse

My aircon makes a low growling noise, is that normal?

And if I accelerate really hard, there is a solid bump near the diff. Any thoughts

See you

Chris

PS I will join soon, how do I do that?

Urmmm.....Turbos....fail?

So whens the next meet?

Dates please.
