Congrats on the purchase. You will have to come to some of the meetings we have in the North West

Welcome to the joys of ownership, I would suggest you apply for a few credit cards, theres quite a few with 0% interest rates, this will come in handy for upgrades, petrol and repairs lol.

Get yourself over to the Mascrat Manor Pub on Monday evening (Warrington) not too far from you to meet somemore like minded Z owners.

Barry.

Come over to the meet and speak with GrahamS, you will get on well and he can tell you all the advantages of having a NA.

Barry.

Who's GrahamS?? Where's the meeting?

show her the vanity mirror, and if she isnt impressed, tell you'll put a better one in :D

The meeting every 2nd Monday of the month, Mascrat Manor Jnc 21 off the M6 (A57 junction Warrington/Irlam), the pub is just off the junction. Always a few Zeds, Supras, MR2s and soon a Celica GT4!

GrahamS is a member who has convinced himself that not having two turbos to fail is far better! Hi Graham!

Barry.

Take a chance and let her drive it- if she gels with it, you'll both have something to share. :)

I still have not managed to get the missis behind the wheel as yet

Welcome mate:) As someone who has owned an NA and a TT, stick with the NA:) Its not as fast, but its just as much fiun to drive, just as eye catching and a LOT less fragile :)

 as well as showing you how to dig bushes with your front spoiler :x:

where is graham anyway? not heard from him in ages????

Mate, good one!!!!!

Welcome to the forum, its saved my bacon loads of times. Best to join then you can get good discounts, go on whats £20.... Buddy you will have good times and bad times but keep going at it  Mines just cost me another £600 this month but its the first big spend i've had to do when somthings gone wrong but i know i will get more months not spending massive amounts on repairs and only on mod's. Fuel can be a bit of a sore point but the looks are worth it. My missus loves it (the car that is :x: ). Get your wife behind the wheel and there will be no going back. All i can advise is learn about the car and it will save you loads, then if you can't solve the problem you always have the support of the forum. Happy motoring

Welcome to the fold my friend, welcome to being a shareholder in Fort Knoxx! LMFAO :)

Looks wise, I can't think of many cars that are sexier and will give you that much performance for the price! You will love your Z32 more than any other you've ever owned! Just pay attention to your maintainance schedules and TRY not to drive her too hard!

Thanks all..........service day today.......going on ramp.....wonder what we'll fnd

Welcome CHris. Seem that the 300z is a popular choice with Chris's, thats 5 of us at least on here now.

Message to your wife though.

Its not that bad, he hasnt bought a widow maker or a money drainer as its not the TT version. Mine cost me about a £1.5k a year in maintanance and fuel and mines a TT and my dainly drive, plus its slightly modded just because upgrading it is normaly cheaper than replacing with stock parts.

If he spends an extra £20 and joins this club the guys on here can sort him out with discounts on stuff too. All in all you got ya self a cracking supercar, safe, reliable as long as you maintain it and no matter how old it is, it will piss the Joneses off no end.

Welcome to the club mate

you can tell her that my wife still hates my NA after 4 and a half years of ownership, so there's no hurry. It took her 6 months to stop refering to it as That Hatefull Car.

But, I've used it every day since I bought it, do about 15k miles each year, never been in a garage (keen on DIY) and the older it gets, the better it gets.

When I bought it they gave me 3 months warranty but nothing for the exhaust, and 4 and a quarter years later I've just replaced the centre pipes £20 second hand for full exhaust.

Troubles been - brake judder - fit poly bushes in the front tie rods, sagging rear gearbox mount - ie prop vibration, new cambelt and waterpump - long DIY job, bit scary.

...when the sun shines take your wife out for a cruise around the countryside with her favourite CD playing loud. Thats about the only time my wife likes the car...

Good luck

Jack

i've had mine 2 mths and spent over 2K on bits and pieces!!!!!!!

but the wife dosn't know
