it has jasma backboxes on, but they are finished, the stock ones will be provided though.

MOT - these can be arranged though

cambelt (and other 60k stuff, recent new plugs & K&N air filters though)

aircon compressor is knackered - works well but makes a dreadful noise

 

theres some deep scratches on the drivers door along with a dent

 

I think thats about it

a full MOT is not a problem, the car is immaculate theres nothing wrong with it, its just not been used, sat in the garage for nearly 12 months. at 2-3k i think ill keep it! :eek:

Interior is only cosmetic - I would rather buy a Z with a shit interior and body and have a mint engine than the other way round!

 

TLC prob' means its split and crazed to shit with drivers wear and I bet there's loads missing like targa shades/covers etc etc. All the things that show whether the owner/s have been good or not.

 

Apologies if I sound like I am getting on my high horse here but it annoys me when people are forced to sell their Zs for cheap because there are others out there selling sheds at a cheap price. Me included. The equivalent cars such as the poopra and the 'Bishi Frog don't seem to suffer with this problem so much.

Do you honestly think that the dealer is being true,no dealer would sell it for that if it was an ok Z,it would defo be up for £5k minimum if sound,its a shed,any money on it,buy for £2225,spend another £5k if anyones got the balls to stick with it, then you may be there,christ i have seen so many fookin shite Zs at dealers there fookin scum most of them(not all i agree)so full of shite it beggars belief,Clarkey me old mate,get a ticket on it then put it up for £5,5000 haggle,or keep it,look after it,even if its off the road tucked up in your garage,becouse trust me in a couple years from now a Z in good order, especialy a stock one will be worth more than it is now,it will be getting expensive and harder for importers to bring them in and make money on them soon,there banging them through at the moment,Skylines,GTO,EVO,RX7,but it will dry up to a trickle,I looked at a R33 GTR on auction site in Japan today,5,000klm,all the bits so to speak,500,000 Yen,thats £2500,then another 300,000 Yen £1500 to get it here with everthing sorted to drive away,£4k in total,talk about cheap as chips.

That's all fair enough and I do agree with you! but taking Clarky out of the equation and all aside. as an independent buyer looking at the car with no ticket & so on minor cosmetics needed would you pay more than 3k for a non-MOT'd car?

 

Yer course if he goes thru the works cleans it up sorts out the scrape on the side & so on he'll get top dollar for a pukka car :rolleyes:

 

no denying that at that money it the autotrader one will be a shed either, I'm just saying if you look around you can use adverts like that to barter better deals. There will be a lot of non-enthusiast zed owners bottling out of owning one with increasing fuel prices & so on... and I'm talking about the market for them just now... theres seems to be loads cropping up on ebay and plenty for sale nationwide too = buyers market :/

 

Christ I have a s14a that cost me 5.5k last year and I still rate my zed over it. I wouldn't part with it when I finish all the work on mine.

it doesnt have a ticker right now, but like i said the car is spot on, could go and get one tomorrow no problems, I would get one before selling the car anyway.

cost him more than that at an auction and regged it, only had it 6 months

 

another has an rx7, and looks like he's gonna take a serious hit on it, as they have dropped badly

 

i think the only way to look at it is if youve got one and not selling, *****cks to what the market says, your happy the cars a piece of class, the days of buying one as an investment are well gone
