All it tells you is the make, model and year of the car. I think it tells you the colour too.

nothing is wrong, i just want to 'borrow' their data and the signup/logon process is just a little annoying to script (although it wont stop me).

the idea being I will be able to tell how many cars of a certain type are registered.

write a script to basically retrieve data for all car registrations in the UK, put it in a DB and then simply I can filter info down to each of the fields, i.e. make, model, trim level etc

Will take a while (several million reg's) but I like collecting data like that :P

That will probably cause the system to crash and your IP will probably be banned from using the site. web sites dont look too kindly on 50,000,000 requests from 1 person.

Use any car insuance online quote as you can put regs in there and it will tell you what it is.
