Finally replacing the Z with a Maserati (I'm hooked on twin turbo's)but can't bear the thought of selling the Z because it's such a great car (mint '96 TT manual)

So.......Thinking of "retiring" the Z permanently to my house in Spain but it will only do about 1000 miles a year and will sit sometimes for 6 months unused on my drive there.

I'm worried it won't like this treatment much and will end up ruined? How will it put up with long periods unused?

Any ideas?

be aware that the petrol may gum up the internals of the injectors/ throttle boddies, you can buy an additive to prevent this, also it goes "off" to a certain extent. New oil before you run it for the first time would be a good thing also. Trickle charge the battery. You may get flat spots on tyres if they are sitting for six moths, do you have the facility to jack it off the ground? presume its going to be garaged, else the paint work fading in the sun might be a problem, sure someone with more knowledge will bive better advice, just working on the scenario if I put my bike away for the winter (getting too old to be driving in pissing rain andf snow:))

You lucky sod! I'm sitting in the office and feeling really depressed now. :(

Oooooh....nice bit of totty just went past my window. I'm happier now. Easily pleased! LOL! :D
