I test drove a 350Z on the weekend from Reg Vardy Nissan, the car is quite good, but not as quick as the 300 TT. It's a 6 speed manual with no seats in the back, cut out in 5th at 145mph and took it to 150mph, but did't take it any further due to road conditions.

IMHO the performance difference is exaggerated because the delivery is more linear and there's less torque at the bottom of gears, and the gears are closer. Most of the reason the 300 seems quick is the sudden kick in the back on spool-up.
