300 tt auto chip upgrade is it easy 2 change any help 2 where 2 find the ecu

its easy to change if you know what you are doing, youll need a small pair of snips, a soldering iron, a solder sucker an ecu socket and some solder.

The ecu is in the passenger footwell under the wooden board.

Well I think it's easy, but there again I've done lots of them. Wouldn't recommend it unless you're well practiced with a soldering iron though.

Vijay, should the standard chip have that white sticker on it? Mine didnt. It wasnt on a carrier though. Just wondering cause when i took my ECU out it had a big 'stealth' sticker on it.

I think yours might be chipped then... look in my rides section for a pic of mine with, erm, a big white sticker on. It's definitely chipped, Conzult crashed when we were trying to pull a .bin!
