Hi everybody,

My car is 92 no turbo Z, I will order a rebuild twin turbo engine for my car. I contact with the supplier, the record show blow, I am not quit sure the meaning, could any body explan to me, thank you.:(The most important thing i care is what is the BHP after I fit the TT engine)

1)

Yuan, you will not gain anything in hp when you fit the TT engine as the

computer and the fuel system dictate the power.

2)

Yuan, the engine will fit OK just maybe a lower compression because of

the turbo specification. It may be less power than you have now.

Rebuilt engine will need a run-in period of 1000 miles or 1500 Kms below

4000 rpm then it will be OK. It will have some new parts inside and you

must take a care to treat it well during run in time.

the twin turbo manual is 300bhp stock and the auto is 280bhp stock, N/A is less than that, cant remember the exact figures.

N/A roughly 220

Just re-reading your post it sounds like your getting a turbo engine WITHOUT turbos, is that right?

I am not understand as well, my car is Non turbo right now, But i will fit a twin turbo engine, that 2 pargraph is what the supplier saying to me....

by what is said there, it sounds to me like your just getting the turbo engine without turbos. With turbos you would definetly see more power but with just the lower comp engine as it says you wouldnt gain anything... :(

what's mean is wouldnt gain anything, so what's different between my no turbo engine?....do i still need that TT engine?..

Im not 100% sure but the main difference is the compression. Whats wrong with your N/A engine and are you wanting a TURBO engine or just a replacement because your is broken?

because my car is non turbo right now,the engine is ok, i just wanting turbo engine to get more bhp

Why that engine may with out turbo?? what's mean??

Have a read here - http://z1motorsport.com/tech.asp and you best contact the engine seller and make sure the engine comes complete with turbos if thats what you want.

I have no idea right now...do u think it is a easy things to do , just change NA engine to TT engine....

No I dont think its an easy job but it can be done, a few people on this forum have done it I think. im sure they will show their faces soon!:D

Thank you very much, I am waiting them give me a hand....them I can get that TT engine soon

Speak to Mark (Topless) as he has done the same thing, I would think he would be able to advise you of any difficulties.

sell you non tubo car and buy mine, which has turbos

Hi,

Mark's case is different I believe. IIRC he's converted a NA convertible to a TT but I don't think it would have been worth the time, effort and cost to convert a normal NA. Have you considered selling your NA and buying a TT?

Vijay

I have done a lot in my NA, so the best way to do is just fit a twin turbo engine..any good idea?any way can increse more bph?i have done the maniford, muffer, induction kit, pully, nos injection, and much more..so...no idea

anyone help

All I will say is, if you are getting a TT engine, make sure it also has the turbos attached to it or you will have less power in the end than you did with the NA engine.

ok...i will find out....

You are taking on a MAJOR task here!!! You will need to change ALL the intake plumbing, source some intercoolers, probably replace front half of exhaust, change the ecu wiring loom, change the ECU.....

In other words take some good advice and just buy a TT... You can always return your existing car to stock and keep the mods....

300zxreading should you decide to not swap can you email me the contact details of the person you were getting the engine from. I am in possible need of a TT engine without tubs.

email to martinfarrinukno-spam@hotmail.com - remove the nospam

many thanks

Martin

This is a MAJOR undertaking. If you want a TT get a TT and move your existing modifications across, unless you really really know what you are doing and you are doing it yourself.
