Dave,

I'll be bringing you a Katzkin box on Sunday, leave some space in your boot!! ;) :D

Matty.

Luke @ Z Centre.........

£500.......plus good old VAT

Fitting is not as bad as I thought, just use good quality 'cable ties' as the metal clips you take off are in no way going back on!! plus once you have bent them they are good for nothing!

Matty.

how did you get the back of the lower part of the seat to sit right in the middle?

did my rears at the weekend and the middle part wont sit down right.

yours looks great by the way

mine is all black

I'm good with my hands!! ;)

Truth is I pulled the centres tight then worked my way out to get it tight, and I had pre-bent the wire to the shape of the centre 'hump' so it fits near enough perfect.

Cheers, was gonna go with all black but decided to go with the dark graphite and dove grey. Thought I'd have a change....... :)

Matty.

Well done bud!!!!

Will keep you updated, the leather is quality fella. Hard to fit but well worth it.....just time and patience required, oh and a bit of 'skill' LOL

As for the 'spinny nissan badges' blame Chunk, I nicked it from his sig.....

Matty.

How do you do it then? Is it an 'over the top' affair or do you take of the old leather/tweed and replace it?

Got a SWB so dont need to bother with the rears

Have you bought the trim kit aswell, quite fancy that.

You have to take off the old covering, whatever that may be. Keep the wire inserts from the covers as you will need thse to get the shape and also attach the the 'cable ties' too......

I will be buying the Leather 'Katzkin' trim kit from Luke, I'm having a Dove Grey to match the centres of the seats. :)

I'm sure SWB price is cheaper.......£150 I think. :)

looks like a smiley face air freshner from halfords;)

I've thought about getting the seat kit from Luke. I was a bit worried incase it was a bit crapy, but yours looks pritty good. I recently imported a Toyota Celica TDR for my good lady and as it didn't have leather I got a genuine Toyota UK leather kit and fitted it. That went on ok, but its the real deal so you expect it to. I've got leather in my Z and even though its better than most, it's still showing signs of its age. I really would like to redo it then so it looks new like the outside.

I think you've done a good job of the backs. Yep it's looking good. Oh yes any small wrinkles or slight loose fit will go once the cars been left in the hot sun a few times.

Correct!!

Couldn't help myself!!

Matty.

It looks the dogs danglies Matty. Well impressed. Looks like I might have to give ol' Luke a call!

Hurry up and get those fronts done!! :D

I managed to do the first of the front seats, I chose the passenger side to do first!!

WHAT A FOOKIN NIGHTMARE OF A JOB!!! LMAO!!

Took me from 5:15pm until 12:30am (yes, that long!) to make the change!!

I have cut my middle finger and my thumb..... but the final result was well worth it, put it back in this morning but not taken any pictures!!

It takes longer to get the old one off (plus all the clips, etc, etc, etc....) than put the new one on.....

Pics to follow, if it stops raining!! LOL

I will be stripping the drivers side Friday afternoon then fitting the new leather on Saturday morning, in time for the Boat Inn meet on Sunday. For now I'll be resting my fingers.........:(

Matty.

Good job mate! Canny wait to see those pics!
