Hi

Maybe a silly question but how far or what boost should i expect to see on the stock boost gauge on the dash?? Mine appears to move 3/4 and not reach 7. is this normal for a stock TT??? I ask because some days she seems to fly and be very responsive and others she appears to struggle. Also when cold and idleing at say just over 1000 rpm and i touch the throttle the revs drop 2 - 3 hundred before picking up.. any ideas?? Thanks in advance.. Oh one last question.. Who could i take my car to in essex to have it checked over and advice as to what may need to be done to get her in great shape.?

the stock boost gauge is pants & shouldnt be taken seriously!!

the needle wont hit the end of the scale unless the cars had a boost increase.

have you done an ECU diagnostic to see if theres any fault codes?

i would also try cleaning the throttle bodies & idle control valve with carb cleaner, clean the electrical connectors to the CAS, PTU, Temp sensor etc with electrical cleaner. disconnect the battery for 1/2hr min while doing this to reset the ECU.

HTH :)
