best way to challenge police?

ive attched a few photos, after i parked today

and after returning to the car, i saw TWO coppers, placing a fixed notice on my car, and it states "in charge of vehicle causing unreasonable obstruction-near corner"

as i'd seen them place it on the screen, i stayed clear as pointless argueing the toss, and dropping meself further in it, so i rang me wife to bring the camera down, (by the way ignore the yellow lines, i was in that respect parked legally) luckily AS she arrived with the camera the guy in the blue car parked behind me, so after taking that photo i then told him, and he moved in front, and THEN i asked him for his name and address lol, to confirm from my photos where i was parked,

im positive it was ticketed because of the car it was, and the road angel in the window, but imo it's not obstructing the corner, btw its one way street

and i was correctly parked to the right, im not arsed about the £30, do i print the photos, and argue it, or am i wasting me time??

Well I never knew they had changed from orange to blue badges so apologies if my joke isn't funny - they rarely are!

You learn something new every day as they say ;)

lol i actually thought the same when i read about it enables the blind to park

i think someone who compiled that page needs to READ it

yes m8, on most yellow lines you can park, even though i have got one, i like most people get pissed re the amount of people who abuse their cards and think they can park wherever, the town where this post started about is all pedestrian, and MANY disabled just drive through it,

i ALWAYS park where i did, but i'll deffo take me tape measure next time lol

read the instructions that came with your disabled badge, my dads have them on the back i think, gives you a run down of where you can park

the police can ask you to move if they think you are obstructing, you should probably have approached them and they may have seen reason, police generally only ticket when necessary.

Well I think we finally got to the bottom of things!

I'd get straight on to the police about this if I were you.

Can you prove you were displaying the badge if they query it?

Having said that, they didn't mention you were on double yellows so they must know you had a badge I suppose.

the ticket was actually written m8, so saw no point in inflaming matters,

as once written and issued theres nothing theyre gonna do

yep as you say it was deffo visible, otherwise they would have done me for

parking,

at the end of the day i guess its down to who was right, as im sure they would go to court and state IN THEIR OPINION it was causing an obstruction

as i said i got the guy in the blue car to give me his name and address, to prove thats where the car was, and the badge was in position, but seems a lot of hassle to drag a stranger to court, or get a statement, and then challenge them all for £30

With a 6 cell maglite? :D:D:D

With a 6 cell maglite? :D:D:D

LOL I've got one of those and they do make a very good errr... torch! :D

possibly prejudice in that nobody expects a badge holder to run a zed - maybe they thought, aye right if you can get in and out of a zed you cant be entitled to that.

No willie - a lot of people who are diabled are so as a result of car accidents and many of them spend their compensation on smooth wheels!

I used to work in Manchester city centre and there was a guy who put his diablo in the same spot every day and hobbled into lunch at a nearby s****y restaurant. He kept it up for about 6 months (p1ssing everyone off in the process). His limp and walking stick were gone after about 6 weeks though!

nothing you can do

just pay them in euro's really cocks things up for them and still legal tender

lets face it they have a difficult job to do , which they do badly

just hate it when they start looking down there nose's at you and say well its insured heres you crime referance. then the next week there in asking for a bloody donation to the plods p1ss up.

You're too close to the corner to be safe IMHO! I know I'd be a bit disgruntled if I was in that Jag in the last photo. Particularly since it's doubles - I know YOU can park on them but other drivers who know that stretch of road won't be expecting to see a car parked there, because of the lines.

(Me, I expect a wagon parked on every single corner, because that seems to be how unloading is done in Bolton  )

So I think you're sunk, and I wouldn't rely on "but I've always parked there" type arguments either.
