September 21, 200124 yr On the Auto gear lever, there is a little think long button/liver in front of it. What does that do. My car is an import so I do not know what the Japanese writing means. Pali
September 21, 200124 yr You mean the long thin sticky up one that runs up the front of the gear lever bar? That's the manual release. If you need to move the gear lever out of P and the ignition is off, you push that down, and the side release button in, and you can move the lever to any gear (for example, N to tow) Az ------------------ Yes.. I know my back wheels *were* on backwards.. They're not now, 'k? ;)
September 21, 200124 yr Pali, When the ignition is off and the gear selector is in Park you cannot move the selector from the Park position. A type of Child lock I guess In order to move it, with the ignition off, press the small lever down and move the mail gear selector back. When the ignition is on you can hear the 'lock' disengage when you put your foot on the brake. Hope this makes sense and helps Tim
