I've done a search to see how these have been installed but can't find any instructions as such.

Has anyone got a link to instructions on how to fit the fan so it comes on via temp sensor.

You are better asking on TT.net as there are loads on there who have had it done.

Many have an adjustable electronic thermostat where u put it in a custom made hole in your rad and u set the degrees to start put even if u put an electronic thermostat or sensor u should also put a manual starting switch inside ur car also because sometimes these thinks brake u never know. Also it's a good idea to put a puller fan on the other side of ur rad

Rather than coming off the temp sensor, you need a dedicated thermo switch, that cuts in at, say 98deg (or whatever you want)

then get a standard 4 pin relay. on the primary side of the relay give it a 12v feed & a switched earth via the temp switch.

output side of the relay will then have a 12v supply in & out to the fan with a permenant earth.

job done :)

Just in case all that's a bit much for yer stu, which i doubt then SE do an electric fan kit for other nissan's complete with remote activation and manual, it's really quite a simple design and not expensive to do, maybe Pete will sell yer a wiring loom kit, i believe they make them up them selves.

I'm gonna try and wire this up using an ignition relay today. which means it will come on with the ignition. I may move to a temp switch later.

fekking hell. with a bigger rad the car wont ever come out of warm up phase!!

surely the thermostat will take care of all that and only pump coolant through the rad when it's needed. Otherwise any car with a big rad will take much longer to warm up.

Anyway, the viscous fan is always on
