went to the york dragstrip day today and was shocked to say the least that there was'nt azed in sight, I never went in mine aswell (decided to take the rather roomey nissan largo instead for a bit of track side viewing indoors) now i wish id taken the zed as i would have been the only one there! a few skylines cracked the 11 second barrier and a few supras wern't far behind, and a evo 8 got a respectable 12.70, I was racing a evo 8 on saturday and could keep up with him all the way (flatout) from standing start up to 100 plus, would the zed normally keep up with this and could i expect a 12.70 quarter mile?

What spec have you got on your Z? Unless its quite a bit modified, you wont get 12.7.

you are going to need 400+ to get a 12.70, and I seriously doubt that evo was std even if it was an FQ330.

The lighter Evo 7 extreme (339bhp) has a book time 1/4 of 13.0
