:o thought id drive through weston last night if people know the place then ud know its boyracer capital :xxx: novas corsas u know the group,but thats a bit biast as there were a few nice motors m3 :xxx: arrogance beyond belief few skylines some gtos evos got a ticket for havin my fogs on,yet its okay for people to fly round doing dohnuts f**kin pork nowt better to do £30 thats half a tank of optimax,the only good thing was that i was the only one drivin a zx so nice to be a bit differant but a rx7 beat me over a viaduct but wasent a fair race as his turbos kicked in faster and being a lighter car more low down torque espessialy on an incline.and mines standard apart from ind kit stainless exh,are they quicker than us in a straight line out of interest,my heads still acheing due to flashing blue lights and an rx7

Modded RX7s can be serious weapons, quicker than many a Z, yes!

The RX7 is a very light package compared to the Z and I think very underestimated, still I am not a big fan of that wierd Rotary engine though. What does make me laugh is 95% of the For Sale adverts for the RX7 they are always advertised with a spare engine, doesn't say a lot for it Eh! :) :)

According to road tests here in the UK (Autocar, What Car etc) a stock UK ZX is still quicker than a stock UK RX7........

 

RX7 responds v.well to mods, though (but engines don't last :tongue: ) and I'm not sure what power imports put out

A copper pulled me over the other week and told me to turn my fogs off I told him I haven't got any front fogs we argued about it etc but the new Jap spec sidelights and incorporated indicaters are really bright light coming out from very very clear lenses they look like fogs cos they are so bright but they are sidelights. Good old Luke from Z Centre EH !

Plenty of VG30DETTs die around 60k too. And 80% of those that are running at any mileage at all are in safety boost!

Furthermore, when it does break, you don't need a four-post lift to fix anything, because there's some actual room in the engine bay...

 

Cost. Performance. Reliability. Choose two!

 

If you want all three, you're looking at 100k... so neither car does badly for 4 figure sums.

 

I went for the Z because it seemed the cheapest all-things-to-all-men machine, don't think the RX7 would take much GT use, but it's probably a better track machine. The Z does a bit of both!
