Since I have had my Z there has been a creaking noise eminating from underneath the car. Various mechanics have given opinions as to what it may be but as yet no-one has been able to accurately diagnose just what it is and to be honest it's driving me mad. If I didn't have such a good sound system in the car, I would be climbing the walls trying to find where it's coming from and what's causing it. :confused:

 

When I go round corners, it's there!! when I slow down, it's there!! when I pull away it's there!! WEIRD................ :confused:

 

I heard it could be propshaft couplings, gearbox, suspension parts not adequately greased, etc etc!!

 

Me thinks it's another job for the man at

 

Freaking hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Anybody else had this or similar problems?????????????? :confused:

 

Car still drives OK though, so hopefully it's nothing too serious (yet!!)

i reckon ive got exactly the same prob.. an i think i know what it is.. i reckon its an engine mount.

 

i thought originally it might be the tie rod bushes, but it wasnt cos i changed them. then i thought it might be a duff shock, but it wasnt cos guess what, i changed them too.

 

Mine disappears when warm, sounds worse when just setting off but after a bit of a run its gone. i reckon its a worn engine mount rattling, but when it warms it expands just enough to stop ratling.

 

my theory anyway and will be the next thing to be changed.
