Do you still have to 'run in' an aftermarket ECU for 200 miles or so? I know with the stock one it re-learns everything but is it the same with uprated ECU's? With my old JWT ECU there didn't appear to be much difference in the running of the car over 200 miles after a reset, and i'm getting a new one off Chris@Greddy(cheers mate :D ) and was wondering if someone could take it for a test drive the day i put it in.

The ECU dosen't really learn all that much, only some compensation figures for fuelling adjustment in closed loop mode (when AFR > 14.7:1).

It might run a bit lumpy for a while, but shouldn't make a huge difference.

The procedure is the same though, the JWT ECU's are just a stock one with a different set of parameters in them.
