March 31, 200422 yr I know you'll think "he would say that" but please dont put those manky things on your pride and joy. HKS filters are bad enough when new, but that used :nono: Also the Blitz "style" filters are even worse, they would cause serios damage to your motor :)
March 31, 200422 yr so are you saying after years of peeps buying hks and blitz filters that they are now shite and whoever bought them have been had over then
March 31, 200422 yr so are you saying after years of peeps buying hks and blitz filters that they are now shite and whoever bought them have been had over then Frankly yes. HKS filters have been proven to let lots of debrit through. Blitz filters perform better, but the filter being advertised was a Blitz "style" thats why i warned people to be carefull. Take a quick peek at this http://www.geocities.com/mikegoodies3/inductiontest.html
March 31, 200422 yr Chris is correct ... I have a Blitz Sus induction and it isn't too bad ... however the filtration isn't brilliant .. the best on the market are defo Apexi .. without a doubt ...
April 1, 200422 yr The piece ends in the conclusion: "It is questionable how accurate the original source of data is, as HKS are proven to sell more induction kits than any one of the others featured in the test, and yet there induction kit rates as the worst kit in the test. This suggests that either HKS rely upon their brand name to sell their 'poorly' manufactured air filters, or that the original Japanese test was nothing more than a PR stunt to promote the lesser known equipment. HKS and Blitz continue to be the best selling induction kits in the UK, and are used by Middlehursts, Hiteq and Abbey Motorsport as their first choice when the induction kit modification is carried out" So even the article is hedging its bets! -Andrew
