IF u r selling privately....

Isn't allowing potential buyers to drive your car very risky - as if they are not insured, you are not covered if they crash. Do ppl ask to see insurance documents ? even then, most insurance does not cover you in another car does it ?

Would it be reasonable to not allow them to test drive but to drive while they are in the car ? This wud take out test pilots and avoid big problems if they crashed.

Yeah its a big problem, its a fine line between putting off a potential buyer and ensuring no-one crashes it.

I've always let buyers of my other cars drive them, daily drivers and the like. But I dont think I'll let anyone drive the zed unless they convince me they've had a similar power car, or I know them, or they are insured. Gotta be firm, its just not worth it. I'd be much more strict if it was raining etc.

Pete

most insurance will only cover them 3rd party, so if its their fault then you have to pay for damage,

I will only let a stranger drive my car if i see he has a document that says fully comp on mikes 300zx :)

I don't even let my friends drive the Zed - except 1 who I cud trust to slow if I told him to. Mostt ppl cud easily lose it in a Zed - they are forgiving motas as they handle really well, but lose grip or take a corner too fast and it's bad news.
