Why can cossies run two bar of boost on 270 thrust bearings?

Seems to be the norm on their forum to use this level of boost, yet on ours we are limited to one bar before the turbo blows up, it ain't fair

Can anyone explain why?

lower compression?

Smaller turbos on the Z?

yeah lower comp (8:1 std) and not as good engine design, they need stacks of boost to get the power out.

I believe the high power jobs run 7:1 CR.

EDIT:

You may as well ignore most of that, I only saw the "Why can cossies run two bar of boost" bit. LOL.

TBH I don't think they can for long, I ahve a stage 5 cossy T34 hybrid with ramped 360 bearings and that only recommended for 28psi.

The std Cossy T3 is supposed to be on the edge by 21-22psi.
