Anyone done the 1/4 mile run and got their (true) times with any car mods.

 

Im looking to do this very shortly and wondering what time I will get.

 

Would 13.3s@102mph be feasible with a UK Manual TT, Apexi induction, 1mm boost jets and a decat exhaust, JWT Chip. Or would I be looking at beating that - providing it dont sit their wheelspinning.

Just been reading 300zxclub.com and some other American sites, seems that mid 10 to low 10 1/4 miles are nothing new over there. Anyone in the UK achieved this or anywere near it?

 

Are they American Seconds or Imperial.

How come the centre of all motor sport development is in the UK. Even the Indy cars are made over here. All the rally cars regardless what it say on the bonnett. 12's are def possible, I have a vid of a zed doing it in 12.63 sec. As for in the 10s would you say the yanks are lying about that time?

The yanks are generaly running a LOT more power than us, they seem to know how to tune them too :(

I agree that 12's are possible but 10's deffo not on standard gearing or without computer based launch control. Unless they have solid core rocket assist. They burn for about 4 seconds and if you laid plenty of rubber down you wouldn't notice the smoke or the smell, because they smell like burning clutch.

Shit mate we are all about real muscal that can do what it does on the standing 1/4 day in and day out. We all know if you shove Nos in or stick rockets up its arse it'll fly. But what can our rides really do not mithical bull sh1t. Real Times for Real Cars driven by Real people.

 

P.S. The Elise is that big and that heavy you could tuck it in your shirt.

They are very fast to 120mph,but an absolute Bas***d to get in and out of and they leave tyre marks on ya chest.

 

Audi TT is 4WD so in a desent bit of tune even my mother inlaw could post in the 13's (I could doctor the brakes and she would get killed in the crash hummmmmmmmmm)
