And another day bites the dust working on the Z...

Changed the spark plugs - jeez thats a job and a half isn't it! Trying to prise the balance tube out of the way.. Not to mention finding that every single one of the clips on the coil pack plugs is broken frown.gif

Fixed my stock boost gauge (tap the needle and it came back to life).. From opening the door, to having put it all back together again in 23 mins flat.. Not bad eh? wink.gif

Still have that elusive leak from the driver side.. it's dripping off the AIV flexible hose - looks like coolant, but *could* be PS fluid (anyone ever known PS fluid to be green? light green, almost clear).. Hard to tell, it feels oily, but that could be crap it's picked up on its travels down to the AIV tube.. Radiator level seems to drop too so I'm guessing coolant - what hoses run down there? Driver turbo coolant.. Do we have inlet manifold coolant lines?

I ache now... Too much time crumpled up in the footwell I think!

Definitly coolant - the green stuff in the water feels real slimey. (I noticed this when I took my rad out yesterday). Have you checked the heater hoses that are tucked in tight between the firewall and the engine?

Simon.

Not yet - the drip is right over to the left of the car (looking from the front) though.. Only a few inches inboard of the drivers wheel.. Although... It's dripping off the AIV pipe as I say - so I guess it could be coming from anywhere... D'oh!

Time to get the car in the air again and have a good furgle..

An alternative suggestion: maybe oil from the aircon system. I recently had a leak the same colour and consistency as you describe and thats what it was. Dunno if there's a standard practice of dyeing aircon oil, but mine had been =)
