Hi,

Tried entering my password when windows asked me to renew it, I entered what I thought was the correct password and it wasn't having it, tried with caps lock on and off, tried all variations!

Is there anyway of reseting it?

Any possibility that the password you are trying to use is in the history fiile (i.e. you used it before ?).

Is it an english keyboard

Cheers guys, double the doages of the comedy pills!

Scan it is windows xp and stu, it is the old password I am trying to recall, not trouble with entering the new one!

If you ever have any probs with windows XP and passwords, it is piss easy to get into. When you start the computer, start it in safe mode (press F8 while loading). You get in, then change the permissions and passwords. Mate got taught how to do this on his uni course!

m8, u still have to log in under safe mode O.o

That will only work in windows incarnations up to windows '98 (possibly ME too, but I have never used it) or unless you dont have an administrator password set and log in as Administrator / no pass
