I have owned my z for approximately 4 hrs - the last 3.5 have been spent driving it :D :D

what does the red light with a tank in it mean to the left of the dash? is that trans overheat warning?

 

if so how do i fix it - new oil cooler? -it is jap spec 90

 

apart from that its fookin quick - as the tt driver :xxx: who tried to tailgate me on the way home found out :rofl: :rofl:

I think you mean the Cat overheat warning light, has it not been decatted yet?

how do i find out if its been de-catted and what effect does it have if it overheats

mind you was doin 110 when the light came on- chasing a shaguar!!!

You should really become a paid up member now you have your Z :-) you know it makes sense..

you'll have to look underneath to see if cats are there , i reckon they will be, you'll see the heat sensors on them. Are u gonna decatt it? More powerrr

I'd check all your fluids and whatnot before you do another three hours. ;) Prevention is better than cure! (Someone pass me my pipe and slippers) :rolleyes:

 

Have you tried a standing quarter yet? You have to do that at least once, ohhhhhh yes, and don't change out of 3rd until it's bouncing off the limiter...

 

And try stopping from a ton, that's nearly as much fun as getting there if you threshold brake all the way down (but it's a lot harder to find a road to do it on)

Nice one Speedfreak. I've had mine for 7 days now and I've been trying to supress the urge to shout "I LOVE MY Z" since then. Seems I just failed to do that!

 

It seems to have rained constantly except for today and I'm begining to understand about the brakes (scary moment on the A127 this morning). I've looked out for TT's today as I've heard they are easy prey, but no one wants to play. Kept up with a new Impreza STi WRX ACDC MOT XYZ though. I'll have him next time ;)

 

I should have got one years ago.
