Just had this put onto my Z. First time I saw it I wanted to saw it off but now I'm kind of getting used to it! Car handles much better now as well! Open to feedback!

Is it a  , a  or a :mac1: ? ;)

Ah THAT's what it's like to be the laughing stock of the forum :( Looking at it again for the 20th time I think it looks shite but can I claim it's more functional than visual? It looked better in the catalogue (ie not on any car). Think I deserve a good :slap:

i saw your car in the garage......IMHO i think you should have removed the original spoiler first this would have brought your new spoiler back a little then you should have widened the distance bewteen the supports. it has the potential to look very good as i have seen a couple of zeds with similar spoilers. think you may have rushed it a little.

Thanks RC. That's where the car might stay from now on - in the garage! Till I get a chainsaw that is. Perhaps this is just a big nightmare and I'll wake up soon. Somebody :slap: me.

Think I would rip it off and spank you about the head with it if your ever down my way.

Good way to ruin a Zed. Sorry.

But if your happy, thats all that matters realy.

LOL it does look hideous but at least it will give *some* downforce... as opposed to all the other shite out there  Hey, gearboxes don't look very nice but at least they have some function.... :D

Maybe you could fit it under the rear bumper for a diffuser effect

Or you fit it under the front spoiler like a shovel when it snows

hey skylinedave....dont worry to much about what all the guys are saying. modifying is a learning curve maybe you just need to jiggle around with aspects to get the right effect. I know someone who had the same spoiler but the had a tailgate tub thing from luke installed. made the car look good. dont be disheartened. 10 or even twenty people may hate it on this forum but 30 or 50 people may like it elsewhere!

Tailgate skin would make a world of difference - not just in looks but also in downforce...

whats wrong with gearboxes then????

i was going to remove mine & polish the casings :D after that i may bolt some fins to it to smooth out airflow under the transmission tunnel!!!

Jesus f'ing christ....that's so bad. Your first reaction was right!!!

LMFAO, love to see this at billing. There would be macca with his 600hp fat arsed zed, stu with his silver space shuttle and dave with his super down force spoiler. You`d steal the show mate, no one would take any notice of the others..

cheerz, mickey

omfg.

I'm not to sure about that mate.

I did think of adding a wing. My car has no rear spolier of any sort.

Anyone got a pic of a 300 with a drop-dead gorgeous aluminium wing?

OMG! THAT SUCKS!

Sorry :D

Anyone got a pic of a 300 with a drop-dead gorgeous aluminium wing?

Is there such thing ????

Skin the rear end..........drop the hideous thing a bit lower and move it back and outwards (so it's the same width as Z rear end) and not so much of a 'steep' angle and then it might look okay........

..........I said might..........

Sorry fella unless you do the above it stays in the 'Ridiculous Rice' section.

:(

Matty.

Jesus f'ing christ....that's so bad. Your first reaction was right!!!

Jesus,

It must be bad if Van has posted about it. I thought you had fallen off the edge of the world Van?

LOL

Dave - There is a pattern formaing here, however, rc951 had a good idea but I think the problem that you have is that the spoiler is a bit too narrow to start off with. I see a bodyshop in your immediate future!

Blimey!

So it might give you more downforce but it's more weight and (more importantly) it'll increase drag, slowing you down. I'd also be worried about the front wheels lifting off the ground with those sorts of angles! So I'd be sceptical at best regarding the functionality of the thing (perhaps make a good tea tray for camping trips).

From an aesthetic POV, I'm afraid I'm with the majority. But then it's not my motor!

BTW, can you see out the back window with that in the way?

Russ.

Oh dear.... do you also wear a baseball cap at a jaunty angle? You're not also called Barry are you??

Hope it won't cost to much to get the holes filled up and repainted!!

Each to their own and all that, but don't we have a responsibility to keep our Zeds to a certain standard?? (ie. not to look like we are all Knob heads!!!)

:slap: :nono: :slap:

I feel sick. It's the most revolting thing I've ever seen done to a Zed. Go to your nearest B&Q and buy a hacksaw immediately.
