I have noticed that my front drivers side wheel is rubbing on the splash guard? when turning. That bad that its put a hole in it and I think started to rub on the water washer reservoir. This happened with my original tyres on and its now even worse with my 17's running a 45 profile.

Any ideas?

My left wheel is close but not touching.

I have tried pushing the washer bottle forward through the quiet large hole thats there but it doesnt seem to want to move so is not loose.

check your tension rod bushes, are they the original ones which may leak?

ummm, how do I check them - what do they look like :)

They are the bars running forwards from the lower wishbones - they go onto a bracket on the radiator support brace on either side. Have a look at the big round bushes - do they appear to be leaking goo??? Thats probably the cause ;)

thats something my local mechanics could have a look at - are they easy to replace if they have gone?

OR should I take it to get them replaced to any local mechanic or a specialist zed mechanic.

he said the wheel was too far forwards though and I need to get it sorted !! :(

oops - dont know what happened with the black photos but they're all there

I used to get arch rub on one side, fitting the Energy Suspension polyurathane tension bushes as an upgrade cured it, and the old ones looked fine. I think with age the stock ones just compress easier allowing the wheel to sit further forward.

Stock ones dont contain any fluid to leak anyway do they??

The second pic from the left on your bottom set of pics is your tension rod and bush, theres obviously one on each side of the car.

Is it something I can do, do I just jack up car and unbolt that bolt - slide new bush on and bolt back up?

A press is needed to remove the old one and fit the new one, and you need some pretty beefy tools to tighten it up to the required tightness.

So I guess it depends if you've got the tools etc.

JD did mine :D
